This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving irrigation systems throughout our residential, commercial, and HOA properties.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, diagnose irrigation problems efficiently, communicate professionally with customers and management, and take pride in completing quality work.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues, including broken lines, valves, heads, wiring, solenoids, and controllers
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic irrigation problems
- Repair and replace PVC pipe, fittings, valves, sprinkler heads, rotors, sprays, and drip irrigation
- Program, adjust, and troubleshoot irrigation controllers
- Locate valves, wiring faults, leaks, and other system problems
- Perform irrigation inspections and system audits
- Adjust sprinkler heads and zones for proper coverage
- Identify overwatering, underwatering, poor coverage, and drainage-related issues
- Complete irrigation repairs at commercial, HOA, and residential properties
- Install new irrigation components and assist with system modifications and upgrades
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, materials used, and recommended additional work
- Communicate irrigation issues and recommendations clearly to supervisors and customers
- Maintain company truck, tools, equipment, and inventory
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, professional work area
Qualifications
- Previous irrigation installation, service, or repair experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of PVC irrigation systems, valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, and low-voltage wiring
- Ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems without constant supervision
- Experience with Hunter and Rain Bird products is preferred
- Ability to read irrigation plans and understand zone layouts is a plus
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather
- Ability to perform physical work including digging, lifting, bending, and working around landscaping
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
