Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Blood Bank Supervisor to lead our high-performing transfusion services team. This role will oversee day-to-day operations in the blood bank section of our laboratory, ensure regulatory compliance, manage staff scheduling and training, and coordinate quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of Medical Technologists and Lab Assistants in the Blood Bank.

• Oversee testing, processing, storage, and distribution of blood products.

• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, AABB, and FDA regulations.

• Develop and implement SOPs, quality control programs, and audits.

• Assist with inventory management and vendor relationships.

• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews.

• Serve as a liaison with nursing, surgery, and trauma teams during high-demand situations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a blood bank or transfusion service laboratory.

• At least 2 years of supervisory or lead tech experience.

• Certification as MT/MLS(ASCP) or equivalent.

• Nevada General Supervisor License (or eligible).
