This is technical and analytical work in the Police Departments Real-time crime center, involving the installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and ongoing support of camera systems components and personal computer applications. Work includes monitoring and supporting multiple camera systems and hardware implementations, evaluating, assessing and correcting PC/laptop issues, assisting with the planning, testing and implementation of new technology requirements; along with upgrades, networking and software fixes; assisting with the optimization of wireless network performance; and assisting with the coordination of routine hardware maintenance and software upgrades efforts with other city technicians and vendors. Leads in the response to incidents regarding the installation, support, and maintenance of the St Petersburg Police Department overall surveillance posture. Work hours will vary and will include nights and weekends.
