IP Operations Systems Specialist

Join Fish’s Hub team in our fast-paced Practice Systems Department as anIP Operations System Specialist. This role is part of The Hub, Fish’s remote-first group of professionals. Hub employees work primarily from home with no expectation of a regular in-office presence. This is a remote-first position, with a focus on candidates in MA, DE, NY, CA, DC, MN, TX, GA, and IL.

How Will You Make a Difference?

• Responsible for ensuring that IP systems are maintained through regular audits, data cleanup, and validation.
• Assist with daily matter opening and staffing updates required by the practice groups.
• Develop and run recurring and ad hoc reports and audits in response to requests made through processes established by department leadership.
• Assist with initiatives to implement automation to create efficiencies for the IP Operations Team and practice groups.

What Will You Bring to the Table?

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in patent or trademark prosecution support services preferred.
• MS SQL skills preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; IP docketing/management systems; and document management systems.

• Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors including education, experience, skills, professional background, overall qualifications, and location.
  • In Boston, New York, San Diego, and Silicon Valley, the estimated starting pay is $37.36 - $46.70 per hour (based on a 35-hour workweek), which is equivalent to $68,000 - $85,000 annually.
  • In Chicago, Minneapolis, and Washington, D.C., the estimated starting pay is $34.87 - $43.59 per hour (based on a 37.5-hour workweek), which is equivalent to $68,000 - $85,000 annually.
