Leo Infrastructure & IP Security is seeking a candidate to develop and own Leo"s IP hardware asset assurance program - the independent audit, reconciliation, and accountability function that ensures every piece of Leo IP hardware is accounted for. This role is critical to protecting intellectual property (IP) by establishing a clean separation of duties, maturing the reconciliation program as Leo scales, and converting accountability data into enforceable controls.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in asset assurance, inventory reconciliation, or audit program management within a high-security technology or manufacturing environment. This role serves as the authority on Leo's IP hardware accountability posture (reconciliation, loss trends, and enforcement-control effectiveness).
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
You review reconciliation runs, comparing inventory tracking system records against physical reality, and triage the record-reality gaps that surface, prioritizing anything tied to Critical/High-tier hardware. You verify enforcement controls are holding (tracker-association gating, assignment caps, physical-verification requirements) and work with the tooling owner to define new reconciliation and gating requirements as capabilities come online. You dig into loss-trend and non-engagement analytics to identify systemic drivers behind device loss and non-response, then route risk-prioritized findings into the unified findings register and to Investigations. You partner with the Audit & Compliance Manager and Physical Security Manager to ensure accountability gaps inform audit strategy and design standards, and escalate unresolved gaps to leadership with documented risk exposure. You balance hands-on reconciliation with program maturation, refining SOPs, defending the separation of duties, and preparing accountability posture reporting for business reviews. Every day varies, but the mission stays fixed: every piece of Leo IP hardware has a confirmed location and a responsible party.
About the team
The Leo Infrastructure & IP Security team"s IP pillar protects Amazon"s intellectual property and hardware assets across the full product lifecycle. Operating under two pillars - Proactive/Detection and Response/Compliance - we deliver IP risk assessments, hardware security engineering, insider-threat detection, OSINT monitoring, secure logistics and destruction, incident response, audit and findings management, and asset accountability. From the moment hardware is built through its final destruction, we ensure every piece of IP has a confirmed location, a responsible party, and secure handling. We partner with engineering, program, and facility teams to embed security into how Leo builds and moves its technology, making the secure path the easiest path so Leo"s growth is never slowed by security, but enabled by it.
