About the role

As an IoT Solution Sales Director -Hitech , you will make an impact by driving growth across IoT, Smart Manufacturing, Product Engineering, and R&D services through innovative, consultative solutions that shape client strategies and enable transformation within Hitech accounts. You will be a valued member of the Hitech sales team and work collaboratively with clients, internal stakeholders, cross-functional solution teams, HR, operations, and global delivery teams.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and execute robust sales strategies and pipeline plans focused on the Hitech sector, owning end-to-end sales from opportunity identification and solutioning through proposal development and deal closure.
  • Lead P&L responsibilities, driving both revenue growth and profitability across assigned accounts while managing a portfolio of IoT programs, including governance, financial oversight, and demand forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, and drive account planning efforts to expand existing engagements and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Lead RFP responses and proactive proposal development aligned with account strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative solutions that achieve and exceed revenue, TCV, and profitability targets.
  • Operate effectively in a matrix organization, partnering with HR, operations, and global delivery teams to ensure seamless demand fulfilment and driving continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen long-term partnerships.

Work model

Based on this role''s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 to 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office. What you need to have to be considered

  • 14+ years of experience, including 10+ years in sales or business development within Product Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Automation domains, with a proven track record of achieving revenue and TCV targets within Hitech Domain
  • Experience in consultative selling of engineering services or solutions to R&D organizations and demonstrated success managing large-scale consulting engagements and client relationships.
  • Technical knowledge in IoT, Embedded Engineering, Device Engineering, Edge Intelligence, PLM, networking technologies, and system integrations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to work with senior client stakeholders including C-suite, R&D leaders, and manufacturing heads; Bachelor''s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until August 31, 2026.

  • The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 - $230,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
  • This position is also eligible for Cognizant''s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant''s applicable plans.
