Investment Risk Manager – Equity | Baltimore, MD | Hybrid

A leading global investment firm is looking to add an experienced Investment Risk Manager to its Equity Risk team. This is a senior individual contributor opportunity for someone with strong equity risk, factor modeling, and data analytics experience who can partner closely with Portfolio Managers and investment teams.

Compensation: $190,000-215,000 
Schedule: Hybrid, onsite 3 days/week 

The Role

• Assess and monitor investment risk across equity strategies
• Perform hands-on risk analysis, modeling, and data-driven research
• Use factor models to evaluate portfolio exposures, risk drivers, and scenarios
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and the front office to communicate risk insights
• Work with large datasets, databases, and independently develop queries
• Prepare and present clear, actionable risk analysis to investment professionals
• Help mentor junior members of the team and contribute to the development of the broader risk program
• Participate in the transition from MSCI Barra to BlackRock Aladdin
• Opportunity to contribute to the firm's growing use of AI within Investment Risk

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 8–10+ years of investment risk experience
• Experience within an asset manager or bank
• Strong equity investment risk experience
• Hands-on experience with factor models and risk analytics
• Experience with Barra, Aladdin, or similar risk systems
• Strong understanding of equity strategies and asset management
• Excellent data, database, and query-writing skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical risk analysis into clear business insights
• U.S. or global equity experience
