    Investment Performance Analyst (FactSet)

    Location: Charlotte, NC

    Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

    Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Investment Performance Analyst to join a growing Asset Management team in Charlotte, NC. This individual will play a key role in analyzing portfolio performance, performing attribution analysis, and delivering investment reporting to portfolio managers, leadership, and clients.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Asset Management, hands-on experience with FactSet, and expertise in investment performance measurement, attribution, and portfolio analytics. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can translate complex investment results into meaningful insights and support data-driven investment decisions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze and report portfolio performance across multiple investment strategies and asset classes.
    • Perform performance attribution analysis to identify and explain drivers of portfolio returns versus benchmarks.
    • Utilize FactSet to generate investment reports, performance calculations, and portfolio analytics.
    • Evaluate portfolio characteristics, exposures, risk metrics, and benchmark comparisons.
    • Produce recurring and ad hoc investment reporting for portfolio managers, executive leadership, and clients.
    • Investigate performance variances and provide detailed explanations of investment results.
    • Partner with portfolio managers, research teams, and investment operations to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity.
    • Maintain and enhance performance measurement processes and reporting methodologies.
    • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end performance reporting activities.
    • Ensure compliance with firm standards, investment guidelines, and reporting requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in Asset Management, Investment Management, Wealth Management, or a related investment environment.
    • Hands-on experience with FactSet.

    • Benchmark Analysis
    • Portfolio Analytics
    • Strong understanding of investment products, portfolio construction, and performance measurement methodologies.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex investment concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Proficiency in Excel and investment reporting tools.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CFA designation or progress toward CFA certification.
    • Experience supporting institutional investment portfolios.
    • Knowledge of equity, fixed income, and multi-asset investment strategies.
    • Familiarity with performance reporting best practices and investment data management.
