Description

Titan Talent Acquisition is partnering with a well-established investment management firm in Birmingham, MI to identify an Investment Operations Associate to join its investment operations team. This position will play an important role in supporting daily investment operations, portfolio managers, traders, and client service activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial services operations experience, excellent attention to detail, and the communication skills necessary to work directly with both clients and internal investment professionals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash and trade reconciliation activities and ensure trades are accurately booked and reconciled by the end of each business day.
  • Support trade settlement processes and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding account activity, service requests, and other operational matters.
  • Support portfolio managers and traders by communicating client instructions including cash requests, trade restrictions, and account updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and account information within portfolio management systems.
  • Work closely with operations, compliance, and trading teams to ensure processes follow established internal controls and policies.
  • Maintain and update client databases while ensuring data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of RFPs and other new business documentation.
  • Support money movement processes with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Assist team members with additional operational responsibilities and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in client service or operations within financial services, asset management, or investment management.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth or institutional clients.
  • Strong understanding of trade reconciliation, settlement, and daily account maintenance.
  • Strong client service background, preferably including client reporting and communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently interact with clients, portfolio managers, traders, and internal teams.
  • Experience working with portfolio management software and financial systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and investment platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with portfolio management software
