Summary:The Senior Associate will work closely with Client Trading, Client Support, portfolio managers, operations teams, custody teams, and internal and external clients. The primary focus of the role is to support institutional clients by ensuring trade-related needs are addressed accurately, timely, and professionally, and that issues are resolved or escalated appropriately. The ideal candidate is dedicated, solutions-oriented, and able to exercise sound judgment in a time-sensitive operational environment. Strong risk awareness and the ability to escalate critical items to the shift leader and Shareholder Services management team are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities- Perform late afternoon and evening operational processes for the Boston Shareholder Services team, including responsibilities across Client Trading and Client Support.
- Oversee NAV distribution by custody providers and manage client communication and inquiry resolution in the event of a NAV delay.
- Execute the NAV delay checklist and coordinate with IT and other internal teams as needed to support recovery and resolution.
- Apply knowledge of internal structures and processing requirements to complete daily activities, including nightly in-kind processing.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the overall operating model and support the deployment of operational changes.
- Assist with new initiatives, process re-engineering efforts, and systems integration activities.
- Input trades and perform appropriate review and audit checks.
- Respond to client inquiries related to trade placement and settlement with Company’s Investment Management.
- Communicate trade settlement information to custody providers accurately and timely.
- Serve as backup for the team leader when needed.
- Build technical expertise and a strong understanding of relevant marketplace practices and nuances.
- Follow the established risk escalation process for operational issues and suspicious transactions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications- 4 years of experience in investment management, with a focus on investment operations; transfer agency experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of complex investment issues and investment vehicles, with a desire to continuously expand investment knowledge.
- Knowledge of investment processes and how client cash flows impact the broader investment process.
- Excellent organizational and execution skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative, professional relationships with internal and external clients and colleagues across global offices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand client objectives and develop appropriate solutions while balancing risk to Company.
- Excellent collaborative, interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, including a confident telephone presence.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Familiarity with AI Tools including Copilot to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $38.00 - $40.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
