Investment Management Documentation Negotiator

Working knowledge of funds in general and other commercial contracts with clients, distributors, intermediaries, or other agents within the asset management sector.

Pay Rate
up to $105/hr

• Negotiate investment management agreements for the segregated account client base as well as trading and derivative documentations.
• Project manage the workload and maintain/develop relationships with key stakeholders (e.G. Client Relationship Management and Take-on teams, Legal & Compliance, Portfolio Management teams).
• Support other geographical regions (including Asia-Pacific and EMEA) as required, due to the global nature of the IM business and the team.
• Work on wider initiatives and documentation aspects relating to other aspects of the Client business.

Areas of Expertise and Experience

• Sound understanding of the asset management industry and knowledge of the client base of an institutional asset manager.
• Knowledge of trading and derivative documentations as well as investment management agreements and ancillary agreements.
• Understanding of financial services regulation, including the current regulatory framework relating to asset management and derivatives.
• Working knowledge of funds in general and other commercial contracts with clients, distributors, intermediaries, or other agents within the asset management sector.
• At least 5 years PQE in a major law firm and/or in-house at a sell-side or buy-side financial institution.
