Overview

We are partnering with a leading middle-market investment bank seeking to add an Investment Banking Associate to its growing team in Virginia. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected platform with a strong track record of transaction execution across a variety of industries.

As an Associate, you will work directly alongside experienced senior bankers, gain meaningful client exposure, and play a key role in executing complex M&A and strategic advisory assignments. The firm offers a collaborative culture, strong deal flow, and a clear path for long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complex financial models, including valuation, merger, LBO, and operating models.
• Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, and transaction-related analyses.
• Support the execution of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Conduct detailed financial, industry, and company research.
• Perform due diligence and analyze investment opportunities across various sectors.
• Coordinate with clients, management teams, and external advisors throughout the transaction process.
• Work closely with senior bankers to drive successful transaction outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of investment banking, transaction advisory, or related financial services experience.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Proven experience supporting live M&A transactions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Currently based in Virginia or willing to relocate.
