    Description

    Investment Banking Associate

    Our client is a boutique investment banking and M&A advisory firm seeking an Associate to join its growing team. This individual will play a key role in the execution of middle-market M&A transactions while working directly with senior bankers, business owners, entrepreneurs, and financial sponsors.

    The Associate will be involved throughout the entire transaction lifecycle, supporting sell-side and buy-side engagements, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and strategic advisory assignments. This position offers meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and a clear path for professional growth within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead day-to-day execution and coordination of M&A transactions from engagement through closing
    • Develop confidential information memoranda, management presentations, pitch materials, and other transaction-related documents
    • Conduct company, industry, buyer, and investor research to support transaction strategy
    • Build, maintain, and analyze financial models and valuation analyses
    • Evaluate businesses using a variety of valuation methodologies, including comparable companies, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysis
    • Support transaction marketing efforts, buyer outreach, due diligence processes, and negotiations
    • Work closely with senior bankers on transaction strategy and client advisory initiatives
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors
    • Assist with business development and firm growth initiatives

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
    • MBA and/or FINRA licenses preferred but not required

    Experience

    • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, valuation, corporate finance, or a related field

    Skills

    • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
    • Solid understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to synthesize complex information and present findings clearly
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to take on increasing responsibility and leadership opportunities
