We're representing a well-regarded middle-market investment bank in its search for an Investment Banking Associate. Following several senior-level hires across its Business Services, Healthcare, Industrials, Consumer, and Technology practices, the firm is building out its execution team and is highly active across each of these sectors.

This is a strong opportunity for an Associate who wants broad exposure early on. The hire will start as a generalist resource, working across sectors and deal teams, before beginning to specialize at the Senior Associate/VP level as they identify the areas they're most drawn to.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of sell-side M&A transactions from pitch through close
  • Manage day-to-day deal processes, including due diligence and client coordination
  • Build and review financial models, valuations, and marketing materials
  • Work directly with senior bankers and client management teams on live engagements
  • Mentor and oversee Analysts on transaction workstreams

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of direct investment banking M&A experience
  • Significant sell-side M&A deal experience, including transactions above $100mm in enterprise value
  • Prior investment banking experience at a middle-market or larger platform
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a growing middle-market platform (~$150-600mm EV deal range) with strong momentum across five active sectors
  • Gain generalist exposure now with a clear path to specialize as you move toward Senior Associate/VP
  • Work alongside recently added senior bankers with established sector reputations
  • Multiple location options: Austin, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, or New York

This role is best suited for an Associate with strong M&A execution experience who's looking to join a platform where they can broaden their sector exposure and grow into a specialized senior seat over time
