    Associate - Software & Technology Investment Banking

    Location: New York | Chicago | Boston (Office-based)

    Compensation: $175,000 - $225,000 USD + benefits

    A highly regarded, independently owned investment bank with deep sector specialisation in software and technology M&A. The team advises middle-market companies and their shareholders on complex strategic transactions, working across both buy-side and sell-side mandates. With a strong track record and a lean, senior-heavy structure, Associates here get meaningfully more deal exposure and client access than in a comparable role at a larger institution.


    The Role

    We are working exclusively with this firm to place an experienced Associate into their software and technology team. You will operate as a primary processor of transactions and proposals, partnering directly with senior bankers and client executives from origination through to close.


    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Support senior bankers across all phases of transaction execution and client management
    • Build and own financial models and analysis across a range of methodologies
    • Conduct in-depth industry research and business due diligence
    • Develop high-quality client-facing materials - offering memoranda, pitch books, presentations, and transaction marketing documents
    • Participate actively in business development and marketing efforts


    Who We're Looking For

    • 4+ years of full-time M&A investment banking experience, or a combination of relevant experience and education
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
    • Sell-side M&A experience preferred
    • Strong command of accounting and financial modelling
    • Proven track record across full transaction execution cycles
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong work ethic, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple workstreams under deadline pressure
    • Must be authorised to work for any employer in the US
