    Investment Banking Analyst

    Location: Houston, TX

    Overview

    We are partnering with a growing investment banking platform seeking an Analyst to join its Houston office. This role offers exposure to a broad range of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments across energy and energy transition-related sectors. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial and analytical capabilities, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine interest in transaction execution. Professionals from adjacent transaction-focused backgrounds will also be considered.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the execution of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements from inception through closing.
    • Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials for client presentations.
    • Conduct industry, company, and market research to support business development and live deal execution.
    • Coordinate due diligence processes and work closely with senior bankers, clients, legal advisors, and other transaction stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, valuation, corporate development, private capital advisory, consulting, or a related analytical environment.
    • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and corporate finance knowledge.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

    Preferred Background

    • Experience supporting transactions within energy, infrastructure, industrials, power, renewables, or adjacent sectors.
    • Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, strategic finance, or transaction services engagements.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong presentation and communication skills.
    • Proven track record of working effectively in team-oriented, client-facing environments.
