Senior Investment Accountant
Location: Remote (Mountain Time Zone Preferred)
A well-established and financially strong insurance organization is seeking a Senior Investment Accountant to join its corporate finance team. This position offers the opportunity to support a large and diverse investment portfolio while partnering closely with investment leadership, external asset managers, custodians, and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform accounting and reporting for a multi-asset investment portfolio, including fixed income, equities, and alternative investments
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and investment accounting workpapers
- Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
- Analyze investment activity, impairments, and valuation-related matters
- Assist in the preparation of materials for senior management, board committees, and investment leadership
- Partner with external investment advisors, custodians, auditors, and internal stakeholders
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within insurance, financial services, or investment accounting
- Knowledge of statutory accounting and regulatory reporting preferred
- Experience working with investment portfolios and investment-related accounting activities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus
