Position Summary:The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods while supporting daily production and warehouse operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper product rotation, and compliance with food safety and company standards.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished productsPerform daily cycle counts and assist with physical inventory auditsReceive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentationTrack product lot numbers and expiration dates to ensure proper FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotationInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and variancesCoordinate with Production and Warehouse teams to ensure materials are available for scheduled productionOperate RF scanners, pallet jacks, and inventory management systems as requiredUpdate inventory transactions accurately within the inventory management or ERP systemMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety regulationsFollow all company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and workplace safety proceduresPerform other inventory, warehouse, and material handling duties as assignedJob Requirements:Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or inventory management preferredExperience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment is a plusKnowledge of inventory control procedures, cycle counting, and FIFO inventory practicesExperience using RF scanners, inventory management systems, or ERP softwareAbility to safely operate pallet jacks; forklift experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entryAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and warehouse safety proceduresAbility to lift materials and perform physical warehouse tasks as required
