    Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory/Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory levels, organizing stock, and supporting the overall efficiency of our facility.     Responsibilities

    Inventory Control

    • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
    • Accurately pull and stage products for customer and organizational orders.
    • Assist with maintaining the warehouse locator system, including product placement and organization.
    • Ensure proper product rotation and inventory management practices.
    • Assist with physical inventory counts and audits.
    • Assist with donor and inventory documentation and recordkeeping.

    Warehouse Operations

    • Sort, inspect, and repackage products as needed.
    • Process product information and inventory changes according to EIF policies and procedures.
    • Manage and process pick tickets accurately and efficiently.
    • Perform accurate data entry and inventory transactions using warehouse management software.
    • Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse.

    Compliance & Safety

    • Assist with compliance related to IDHS, FA, and other donor requirements.
    • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operating guidelines.
    • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
    • Assist in maintaining sanitary food handling practices.
    • Support warehouse cleaning schedules and general facility upkeep.

    Team Support

    • Serve as a backup for other warehouse staff as directed.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure daily operational goals are met.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or food distribution experience preferred.
    • Experience using inventory management or warehouse management software is a plus.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work effectively with numbers and inventory data.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Equipment & Certifications

    • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
    • OSHA Forklift Certification required or ability to obtain certification.
    • Forklift Operator Safety Training required.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the workday.
    • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
    • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
