    Description

    We are looking for an Inventory Supervisor to overseeing the efficient management and control of inventory within the distribution center. The Inventory Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating inventory related activities, and ensuring a smooth flow of goods throughout the supply chain.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory items, including receiving, storing, and shipping.
    • Utilize warehouse management systems (CloudX) to manage stock levels effectively.
    • Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between system records and physical counts.
    • Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demands while minimizing carrying costs and excess stock.
    • Ensure that all inventory handling processes follow established quality control standards and comply with safety regulations.
    • Generate inventory reports, analyze data, and provide insights to management to improve inventory control procedures and overall warehouse efficiency.
    • Analyze inventory levels and trends to determine optimal stock levels and reorder points.
    • Conduct monthly EFR (Efficiency Feedback Reviews) with staff providing feedback and coaching on areas of improvement.
    • Supervise and provide guidance to inventory control staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
    • Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to resolve inventory-related customer inquiries and ensure timely and accurate order processing.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance.
    • Strategically plan and implement storage layouts to maximize space utilization within the warehouse.
    • Continuously assess storage capacity and identify opportunities for optimizing space allocation, reducing wastage, and increasing overall storage efficiency.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a 3PL environment or logistics industry
    • Strong knowledge of inventory  management processes, industry best practices, and relevant regulations
    • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to communicate, including reading, writing, and speaking in English. Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required.
    • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
    • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
    • Ability to perform basic math functions. 
    • Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate.

    Physical Requirements

    • Work regularly to lift and/or move objects 10-30 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time including stair climbing
    • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting and kneeling are required to retrieve and stock products at various heights.
    • May be required to climb ladders or stairs to access products stored on higher shelves.
    • Capable of performing repetitive tasks, such as packing, sorting, or labeling, with efficiency and attention to detail. 
    • Must be able to tolerate fluctuations in facility temperatures
    • Must be able to tolerate an occasional high noise volume environment that includes speakers, fans, moving racks and conveyor belts.
