    The Inventory Parts Inspector / Stockroom Support is responsible for receiving, inspecting, identifying, documenting, storing, and controlling aircraft parts, materials, components, and supplies within an aviation repair station environment. This position ensures that parts are properly identified, traceable, documented, and maintained in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, customer requirements, approved procedures, and the repair station’s Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM).


    The position supports stockroom operations while maintaining strict control of aircraft parts and materials to prevent the use or release of unapproved, unserviceable, damaged, expired, or improperly documented items.



    Key Responsibilities


    Requirements



    • Receive aircraft parts, components, materials, and supplies from vendors, customers, and other approved sources.

    • Perform receiving inspections to verify part number, serial number, quantity, condition, documentation, and other applicable requirements.

    • Review and verify required certification and traceability documentation, including applicable FAA 8130-3 tags, EASA Form 1, Certificates of Conformance, airworthiness documents, and other approved documentation as required.

    • Verify parts against purchase orders, packing slips, work orders, and applicable technical or customer requirements.

    • Ensure aircraft parts are properly identified and maintain traceability throughout the receiving, storage, issuance, and return processes.

    • Inspect parts for visible damage, corrosion, contamination, improper packaging, or other obvious discrepancies.

    • Identify and appropriately segregate suspected unapproved, rejected, damaged, expired, or otherwise nonconforming parts and materials.

    • Maintain proper status identification and physical segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, rejected, quarantine, and other controlled materials.

    • Verify shelf-life requirements and expiration dates for applicable parts, materials, sealants, chemicals, and consumables.

    • Enter and maintain accurate inventory information in the company’s inventory or ERP system.

    • Maintain accurate records of part numbers, serial numbers, lot numbers, quantities, locations, shelf-life information, and traceability documentation as applicable.

    • Issue and stage parts and materials to production, inspection, maintenance, and other authorized personnel.

    • Process returns, material transfers, inventory adjustments, and related documentation in accordance with established procedures.

    • Perform cycle counts and assist with scheduled physical inventories.

    • Investigate inventory discrepancies and notify appropriate Quality, Purchasing, Production, or Management personnel.

    • Maintain organized storage locations and ensure parts are protected from damage, contamination, deterioration, and environmental conditions as applicable.

    • Ensure materials requiring special storage conditions are handled and stored according to manufacturer, customer, and company requirements.

    • Support proper control and disposition of nonconforming materials in coordination with Quality Assurance/Quality Control personnel.

    • Maintain confidentiality and security of customer-owned and company-owned aircraft parts and materials.

    • Follow all applicable FAA regulations, repair station procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

    • Report suspected regulatory, quality, documentation, or traceability issues to the appropriate supervisor or Quality personnel.

    • Assist with audits and provide inventory and traceability records when requested.

    • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe stockroom and work area.

    • Perform other duties related to inventory, receiving, material control, and stockroom support as assigned.
