    Job Overview

    This position could be considered inventory management for disaster recovery. When a home or business suffers fire, water, or other loss, we step in to protect what can be saved and document what can't. You'll receive customer belongings, organize them like a stockroom, catalog each item in our tracking system, maintain our contents vault like a warehouse, and ensure every box and item can be accounted for at any time. If you've managed inventory, stocked shelves, received/shipped goods,

    or run a stockroom, you have the core skills for this role.


    What You'll Do

    • Pack, unpack, and assess customer belongings from disaster scenes (on-site and vault-based)
    • Categorize, and organize items for storage, prioritizing by condition, type, and insurance value
    • Photograph items and document condition for records and tracking
    • Catalog items in Contents Track: description, brand, condition, damage assessment
    • Organize and maintain the contents vault like a warehouse: shelving layout, box placement, bin rotation, space management
    • Track boxes and items in/out of vault storage with accurate receiving/shipping records
    • Inventory, count, and reconcile items across multiple ongoing jobs simultaneously
    • Clean and process affected items and prepare them for proper storage
    • Identify and document items beyond restoration for accurate reimbursement claims
    • Communicate with customers, project leads, and insurance adjusters about item status and job progress

    Qualifications

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of items across multiple jobs
    • Attention to detail, especially when tracking, recording, and inventorying items
    • Comfortable with warehouse/inventory software and systems (or quick to learn new systems)
    • Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
    • Customer-facing communication skills


    We're Especially Looking For

    • Retail stockers, warehouse workers, or inventory specialists with hands-on experience receiving, organizing, and tracking goods
    • Backroom/stockroom personnel with experience managing high-volume inventory
    • Warehouse or logistics staff with experience in inventory management systems or bin/shelf organization
    • Anyone with experience cataloging, photographing, or managing large quantities of items
    • Moving or storage company personnel with warehouse/vault background
    • Property claims or insurance inspection background (documentation and photography skills transfer directly)
    • Familiarity with Contents Track, Xactimate, or similar software (training provided if not)
