Job Description

Develop and maintain demand forecasting models in Microsoft Excel from scratch, utilizing historical sales data, seasonality trends, customer orders, promotions, and growth assumptions. Create SKU-level, customer-level, and channel-level forecasts to support inventory and purchasing decisions. Own inventory planning processes, balancing service levels, inventory turns, and working capital objectives. Analyze sales performance, inventory health, stock-outs, overstock situations, and forecast accuracy. Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting reviews with Sales and Leadership teams. Generate purchasing recommendations and replenishment plans based on forecasted demand and inventory targets. Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure product availability and timely deliveries. Manage wholesale order allocation during periods of constrained inventory. Develop reporting dashboards and planning tools within Excel to improve visibility into inventory and sales trends. Establish and continuously improve inventory processes, metrics, and planning methodologies as the business scales. Monitor key KPIs including fill rate, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, weeks of supply, and service levels. Support annual budgeting and sales planning processes through data-driven forecasting and scenario modeling.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, supply chain, wholesale operations, or related functions. Demonstrated experience building demand forecasting models from scratch in Microsoft Excel. Advanced Excel skills including: Pivot Tables, Power Query, INDEX/MATCH and XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Forecasting and trend analysis, Scenario modeling, Data visualization and dashboard creation. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, replenishment planning, and demand forecasting methodologies. Experience supporting wholesale, consumer products, footwear, apparel, sporting goods, or retail businesses. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to leadership teams.
