Description

The Science Team at Pride Health is supporting the Biotechnology organization and has an opening for a Inventory Controller in Knoxville, TN.
 
Position Summary:
We are seeking an organized and dependable Inventory Controller to support shipping, receiving, inventory, material handling, and facility operations in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate should have basic computer skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely handle materials and equipment.
 
Additional Details:
Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extensions  
Pay range: $14 to $16 per hour
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, supplies, specimens, parts, and equipment.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials and supplies, verify quantities against packing lists, and document receipts.
  • Unpack, organize, and store materials in designated areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, shipping records, and required documentation.
  • Prepare materials and specimens for shipment to other locations.
  • Troubleshoot and communicate issues related to inbound and outbound shipments and assist with resolution.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain proper organization, security, and accountability of materials.
  • Use computer systems, applications, email, internet resources, and telephone communication to complete administrative tasks.
  • Support facility maintenance activities, including laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, as assigned.
  • Follow all company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including lab coats, gloves, face shields, and safety goggles when applicable.
  • Safely handle biohazardous waste and work around chemicals and other laboratory hazards as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling company information and records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform physical material-handling tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Previous maintenance or facility support experience.
  • Experience working in a laboratory, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated environment is a plus.
 
 
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
