Inventory Controller 2

The ideal candidate will have warehouse inventory experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate stock records both physically and in computer systems. This role involves cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, tracking damaged goods, and supporting daily warehouse operations.

Meador an Openwork Company is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inventory Controller 2 for an opportunity in La Porte, TX. The ideal candidate will have warehouse inventory experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate stock records both physically and in computer systems. This role involves cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, tracking damaged goods, and supporting daily warehouse operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse and company software system.
• Organize warehouse stock and track inventory movement.
• Perform monthly cycle counts and investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor damaged goods and coordinate necessary repairs.
• Assist with internal and external inventory audits.
• Ensure materials are stored and handled according to safety and quality procedures.
• Operate a forklift as required, meeting applicable client requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Provide professional customer service and assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Follow company procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience organizing warehouse inventory and tracking stock.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, including varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or additional hours as needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to following safety and quality standards.
• Must meet the client's forklift driver requirements.

Additional Information
Pay: $17 per hour
Location: La Porte, TX 77571
Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
