Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about maintaining inventory accuracy? We're seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join a growing manufacturing organization that supports OEM customers across a variety of industries. This role offers the opportunity to play a critical part in inventory management, process improvement, purchasing support, and cross-functional operational success.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving inventory challenges, working within ERP systems, analyzing data, and collaborating with purchasing, planning, and operations teams to keep business processes running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
Inventory Control & Analysis
- Maintain accurate inventory records and pricing data
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
- Process stock adjustments and stock requests
- Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and inventory health
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Process returns and support vendor RMA activities
- Complete failure analysis reporting and coordinate product disposition
- Support inventory initiatives across multiple locations
Purchasing & Planning Support
- Provide backup support to purchasing functions
- Assist purchasing, planning, and scheduling teams
- Help ensure inventory availability and workflow continuity
- Support inventory planning and replenishment efforts
- Collaborate across departments to meet operational needs
ERP & Product Maintenance
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Update product information and system records
- Assist with import/export documentation and compliance requirements
- Maintain data integrity within ERP systems
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of inventory control, inventory management, or related experience preferred
- Experience working within ERP systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with:
- Cycle counts
- Inventory audits
- Stock adjustments
- Inventory analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or related education
- APICS/ASCM coursework or certification
- Experience supporting purchasing, planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations
- Experience with:
- BOM creation and maintenance
- Returns and RMA processing
- Multi-site inventory environments
- Import/export compliance activities
Systems & Tools
- ERP Systems (Epicor experience highly preferred)
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Office Suite
- SharePoint
