We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production needs, and building strong vendor relationships. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping operations efficient and on track.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock quantities to support operational needs.
  • Place orders for materials and supplies within established guidelines.
  • Identify and develop backup sources for critical and high-demand inventory items.
  • Analyze inventory trends and ordering patterns to improve efficiency and recommend recurring delivery solutions.
  • Generate and provide inventory reports to management.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming shipments, inventory receipts, and outbound transactions.
  • Manage inventory data within computerized inventory systems and assist with system updates and improvements.
  • Perform routine inventory counts, cycle counts, and spot audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory audits.
  • Operate a forklift as needed to move and organize materials.
  • Support additional inventory, warehouse, and purchasing activities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with computerized inventory management systems required.
  • Previous inventory, warehouse, purchasing, or materials management experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate warehouse environments and access materials stored at varying heights.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, when required.
