Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records within an ERP system, resolving inventory discrepancies, and supporting production, planning, shipping, and receiving operations within a manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain monthly inventory spreadsheets and report settlements for tolling suppliers.
- Completejob cards to process and consolidate inventory lots.
- Create and maintain buyover records and ensure inventory data remains accurate.
- Print and distribute inventory labels throughout the manufacturing floor.
- Ensure inventory lots remain togetherthrough each stage of production.
- Monitor discrepant job cards and provide feedback on inventory discrepancies.
- Identify and investigate inventory stock losses and gains.
- Ensure accurate weights are recordedat each process step.
- Execute inventory consolidations, re-grading, and buyovers within the ERP system.
- Complete bills of lading and shipment packets, including required certification documentation.
- Submitshipment documentation for approval and provide completed packets to Shipping.
- Facilitate and reconcile cycle counts.
- Participate in annual physical inventory activities.
- Provide support to production, planning, shipping, and receiving teamsas needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3–5 years of inventory control experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong Excel skillsrequired.
- Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Google Docs and Google Sheets preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately manage inventory and investigate discrepancies.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills andability to provide clear instructions.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based in an office within a manufacturing facilityand involves regular interaction with production, planning, shipping, and receiving teams. The role uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing systems, and related equipment.
