LSI seeks an Inventory Control/Forklift Driver to work for our client in Decatur, GA.
This position is responsible for the accuracy of site inventory and for the safe movement of materials throughout the facility. Work combines
inventory control, including maintaining system records, performing cycle counts, verifying receipts, and investigating discrepancies, with
forklift operation for receiving, put-away, replenishment, and shipping. This person is accountable both for moving material and for the accuracy of the records that describe it.
Essential Duties:- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the company's inventory management system
- Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages, and report root cause
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to purchasing or management
- Operate a forklift to unload incoming shipments and to load outgoing shipments
- Perform daily forklift inspections for safety and charge equipment at the end of shift
- Receive, verify, and record incoming shipments and materials against the packing slip
- Report any discrepancy between the packing slip and the actual shipment before signing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:- Ability to tolerate sustained standing/walking up to 10 hours a day.
- Ability to perform occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift moving product weighing more than 1,100 lbs.
- 1 to 3 years work experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment required
- Demonstrated responsibility for inventory accuracy in an inventory or warehouse management system
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Pay : 21 per hour
