    Now Hiring: Inventory Control SpecialistLocation: Boise, ID YardWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at our Boise, ID Yard location. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, supporting efficient warehouse operations, and ensuring inventory transactions are accurately reflected within company systems.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring inventory transactions, quantities, and costs within inventory management systems.Compile and analyze inventory-related information from shipping and receiving documents, requisitions, contracts, accounting reports, and other operational records.Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventory audits, comparing physical inventory to system records to identify discrepancies.Investigate and resolve inventory variances through physical verification, transaction research, and system analysis.Process inventory adjustments and corrections as necessary to maintain accurate inventory records.Create, assign, and maintain Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) numbers in accordance with established inventory classification standards.Manage and update SKU master files, including item additions, modifications, and deletions.Generate and review inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, negative inventory balances, and stock availability concerns.Monitor inventory performance metrics and communicate findings to management as appropriate.Collaborate with operational teams to improve inventory accuracy and support inventory control initiatives.Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations to promote a safe working environment.Participate in required safety meetings and training programs and recommend improvements to safety practices when appropriate.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience

    High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent required.Minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements

    Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, equipment noise, and dust.Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds.Occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 80 pounds.May be required to perform physical activities including climbing, lifting, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, and prolonged standing or walking.
