We are seeking an Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory accuracy initiatives, inventory planning, cycle count programs, process improvements, and warehouse inventory operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring inventory integrity while partnering closely with operations, purchasing, logistics, and leadership teams.

Job Details

The Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, inventory reconciliation, reporting, and inventory-related process improvements across a high-volume warehouse and distribution operation.

Responsibilities
Lead all inventory control and inventory accuracy initiatives
Develop and manage cycle count and physical inventory programs
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Monitor inventory levels, movement, and aging inventory
Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure inventory integrity
Develop inventory KPIs and performance metrics
Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities to reduce shrinkage and improve accuracy
Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP and warehouse management systems
Lead inventory audits and reconciliation activities
Create and maintain inventory reporting for leadership
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and warehouse processes
Train and develop inventory control personnel and warehouse team members on inventory best practices
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements

Qualifications
5+ years of inventory control, materials management, or warehouse leadership experience
Experience in industrial distribution, metals, recycling, building materials, manufacturing, construction materials, or related industries preferred
Strong understanding of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and inventory analysis
Experience managing inventory in a high-volume warehouse environment
ERP system experience required
Advanced Excel skills preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Experience developing inventory KPIs and reporting
Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, logistics, and finance teams
