Job Description

The Inventory Control Manager is to oversee the purchasing, receiving, and accounts payable processes at commissary locations.  The role will decide purchasing levels using past and current forecasting data, as well as ensure that inventory transactions are happening timely and accurately through remote oversight to an administrative team.  The role will also be responsible for EOM (End of Month) Inventory processes and completion.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effective management of the ordering process at one or more commissary locations with regards to forecasting, vendor relationships and receiving documents.
  • Supports the daily management and continuous improvement of the commissaries to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained.
  • Works across teams to coordinate warehouse transfer and investigate all inventory variances.  Identifies appropriate actions that will minimize/eliminate these variances.
  • Drives to maintain days-on-hand and inventory shrink levels at or below KPI?s.
  • Identifies the need for cycle counts to correct physical vs. theoretical inventory variances and communicates this need to the GM and Regional Inventory Control Analyst.
  • Partnering will all levels of management to ensure that processes are followed.
  • Oversees compliance and accuracy of WIMS transactions and Accounts Payable invoicing.
  • Completing all reporting requests from Location, Regional, or Corporate Leadership.
  • Supervises, trains, coaches, and develops Inventory Control Specialists. May have responsibilities to oversee and supervise Quality Control Clerks and/or WIMS Clerks depending on the management team structure of the commissary location. 
  • Works cross functionally with receivers and warehouse personnel to ensure inventory SOP are being followed.
  • Works closely with and performs other duties as assigned by GM, AGM, Sr. Operations Manager, and Regional Inventory Control Analyst.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Must possess 2 years of inventory management or procurement experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • Two or more years of experience managing, developing and coaching a team.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and work with cross-functional teams at all levels in the organization (internal and external).
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities from diverse levels of management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
  • Must have working knowledge of knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and preferred SQL(Structured Query Language).
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend various reports and recommend or execute appropriate actions.
  • Results-oriented focus to ensure delivery of operational reports and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
  • Proven ability and success with leading and developing high performing teams.
  • High level of self-initiative and the ability to prioritize, work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility in working a rotating schedule, including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays and a reliable attendance record.
