Inventory Control Clerk II

Overview: Ensure all information relating to inventory across all systems at SDS is accurate and complete and that appropriate procedures are followed when handling defective, damaged, lost or store returned products at SDS. Assist Purchasing and warehouse departments with inventory discrepancies, UPC verification, slotting, damaged product, quality issue product, receiving issues and monitoring code sensitive products.

Additional Job Info:

This position offers a base hourly range of $19.46 - $32.41 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus bonus based on company performance.

Overview:

Ensure all information relating to inventory across all systems at SDS is accurate and complete and that appropriate procedures are followed when handling defective, damaged, lost or store returned products at SDS.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform quality assurance (QA) checks on all new items entering the Distribution Center.
2. Process all store credits both systematically and physically that are being returned to the DC from the stores.
3. Perform all daily activities necessary for effective inventory management procedures and to maintain accurate inventory records.
4. Perform daily, monthly, quarterly and annual audits as scheduled.  Research any discrepancies and adjust inventory accordingly.
5. Assist Purchasing and warehouse departments with inventory discrepancies, UPC verification, slotting, damaged product, quality issue product, receiving issues and monitoring code sensitive products.
6. Maintain holding warehouse and process vendor returns as needed.
7. Communicate audit results, monthly inventory over / short reporting and yearend audit results.

Qualifications:

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

 

 

Education

• High School Diploma/GED required

Experience

• 1 year experience in inventory management or related field required

Licenses/Certifications

• None required

Tools & Equipment (Other than general office equipment):

• Motorized Equipment (generators, pressure washer, fork lift, etc.)
• Heavy Equipment: (Loader and attachments, lift, etc.)
• Power Hand tools (saws, drill press, grinders, sanders, engraving equipment etc.)
