Job SummaryPenmac Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist/Inventory Control Clerk to join a production facility team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately counting, tracking, and moving inventory throughout the plant while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately count and verify inventory throughout the production facility.
- Move inventory as requested to support production and warehouse operations.
- Conduct routine inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with inventory counts in both indoor production areas and outdoor shipping yard locations.
- Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and products.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies and assist in resolving inventory issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous inventory control, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Ability to work outdoors when conducting inventory counts in the shipping yard.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
