Inventory Control Clerk

Pay Range: $16.00hr - $21.00hr

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an Inventory Clerk to manage inventory control and driver check-in. The candidate will perform cycle counts, process product returns, generate inventory reports, and operate warehouse equipment while working across multiple temperature-controlled environments.

Responsibilities:

• Count merchandise in stock and post totals to inventory records.
• Compare inventories to office records or compute figures from sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to determine current inventory levels.
• Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjust errors or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
• Generate reports such as inventory balances and shortages.
• Check in driver returns, assess product quality and damage, check in keys, and adjust invoices based on returns.
• Conduct regular cycle counting, product rotation, and fresh-to-frozen transfers.
• Alert team on date-pull short-code products and perform aisle audits.
• Scan returned products in and comply with the organization's return policy.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of inventory experience.
• Basic computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations required to count TI/HI of pallets.
• Experience operating a cherry picker and forklift.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Inventory Management Systems, inventory auditing, and reconciliation.
• Prior experience in the foodservice industry.

Work Environment:

Work is performed across three temperature zones: Dry, Cooler (under 40 degrees), and Freezer (under 15 degrees), with temperatures ranging from -10 to 90 degrees.
