Inventory Control and Parts Fulfillment Specialist

Location: Amarillo, TX
Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

What a Typical Day Looks Like

As the go-to person for parts and inventory flow, you’ll begin by reviewing pick lists and work orders, then move through the warehouse to locate, verify, and stage materials for production. You’ll record every move in our warehouse system, receive incoming materials, and keep stock organized. Throughout the day you’ll collaborate with production, assembly, and shipping—packaging and labeling outbound orders, resolving discrepancies, and keeping your workspace clean and safe using 5S practices. You’ll also operate a forklift when needed and help with cycle counts to keep inventory accurate.

Core Responsibilities

  • Parts Pulling: Accurately pull components to pick lists; verify part numbers, quantities, and specs; coordinate with other teams to meet build schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, store, and organize incoming stock; conduct routine cycle counts; assist in resolving inventory variances; communicate low stock levels to leads/supervisors.
  • Order Fulfillment: Support production and assembly with required parts; assist shipping with packaging, labeling, and preparing outbound shipments; ensure timely, precise delivery of orders.
  • Documentation & Quality: Maintain accurate records of stock movements and order activity; inspect pulled parts for correctness and quality; promptly report issues.
  • Organization & Safety: Keep aisles and racks orderly; follow 5S and safety guidelines for efficiency and a hazard-free workspace.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Partner with leads, supervisors, and peers to solve problems and keep work flowing.
  • Additional Support: Stage materials/assemblies for production; receive raw materials into inventory; use warehouse software daily; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly experience preferred (not required).
  • Able to read and interpret work instructions and specifications.
  • Comfort with hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear communicator and dependable team player.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent hand/finger use handling tools and materials.
  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, and sitting.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Safely operate a forklift and maintain required certifications.
