Asset Inventory & Operations Coordinator
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Asset Inventory & Operations Coordinator to support a growing technical operations team responsible for managing, maintaining, and coordinating specialized equipment and inventory assets used for customer demonstrations, training programs, field activities, and engineering support initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, logistics, and compliance teams. This role combines hands-on equipment management with administrative inventory control responsibilities to ensure assets remain operational, accurately tracked, and readily available to support business objectives.

Position Type: Contract
Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour - (Depending on experience and qualifications)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prepare, inspect, configure, and stage equipment for customer demonstrations, training activities, field support, and evaluation programs.
- Perform incoming and outgoing equipment checks to verify operational functionality and shipment readiness.
- Track inventory movement, utilization, location, and condition within company asset management systems.
- Coordinate equipment shipments, transfers, returns, repairs, maintenance schedules, and retirements.
- Partner with engineering and sales teams to allocate and schedule assets for customer-facing activities.
- Support domestic and international shipping processes, including documentation preparation and tracking.
- Conduct physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits to maintain accurate asset records.
- Generate inventory reports, asset utilization reports, and operational status updates for management.
- Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and verification of technical equipment prior to deployment.
- Support process improvement initiatives related to inventory controls, asset lifecycle management, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Asset Management
- Maintain accurate asset records, including status, ownership, location, utilization history, and equipment condition.
- Monitor asset lifecycle activities including deployment, maintenance, repair, replacement, retirement, and disposition.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve accountability.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all assigned assets.
Logistics & Shipping Coordination
- Coordinate domestic and international shipment activities for equipment and inventory assets.
- Prepare shipping documentation, customs forms, certificates of compliance, and export-related records.
- Track equipment movement and ensure timely delivery and return of demonstration assets.
- Work closely with logistics providers and internal stakeholders to resolve shipping issues.
Equipment Readiness & Technical Support
- Perform equipment inspections and basic functional testing before and after deployments.
- Assist technical teams with setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and verification activities.
- Coordinate repair activities with service teams and monitor repair completion timelines.
- Ensure demonstration and evaluation equipment remains operational and available for business needs.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Support adherence to trade compliance and shipping regulations.
- Participate in inventory audits and compliance reviews.
- Assist with developing and documenting inventory control procedures and asset management best practices.
- Help train team members on inventory systems, asset handling procedures, and operational processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Technical Certification, Associate Degree, Military Technical Training, or equivalent related experience.
- Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain operations, warehouse coordination, or asset tracking.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting technical equipment, electronics, defense products, aerospace products, or other complex hardware environments.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures and logistics operations.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, SAP, or other inventory management systems.
- Exposure to asset management, equipment lifecycle tracking, or technical operations support.
- Understanding of import/export documentation and trade compliance processes.
Pay Details: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour
