Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated early-career Inventory & Operations Coordinator to support our client's Defense Airborne Systems business. This entry-level position is intended for individuals interested in building expertise in technical operations, asset management, inventory control, logistics, and equipment readiness. The role is responsible for supporting the readiness, accountability, movement, testing, and maintenance of demonstration equipment and technical assets used by the Applications Engineering organization. Success in this role requires a balance of technical aptitude, attention to detail, process discipline, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, configure, inspect, and stage demonstration equipment for customer evaluations, field support activities, training events, and demonstrations.
  • Perform and document incoming and outgoing functional checks before and after deployments to verify system readiness, operational status, and shipment readiness.
  • Assist Applications Engineering personnel with equipment setup, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and verification activities.
  • Coordinate with the local service department to schedule, track, and document repair activities to maintain operational readiness and availability of demonstration assets.
  • Maintain accurate records within the corporate asset management system, including asset status, location, ownership, utilization history, and equipment condition.
  • Coordinate demo asset shipments, transfers, returns, deployments, and retirements in alignment with business priorities and applicable regulations.
  • Partner with Applications Engineering and Sales teams to schedule, allocate, and track demonstration assets supporting customer engagements, evaluations, and events.
  • Support the preparation of domestic and international shipping documentation, including export control documentation, customs forms, certificates of conformance, and related logistics records.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits and cycle counts to validate inventory accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and improve asset accountability.
  • Monitor asset condition, utilization, and lifecycle status, recommending repair, replacement, retirement, or disposition actions when appropriate.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of asset management processes, inventory controls, and lifecycle procedures.
  • Assist in training and onboarding personnel on asset management tools, inventory procedures, and equipment handling processes.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc inventory, utilization, and asset status reports to support operational planning, audit readiness, and leadership decision-making.
  • Inventory management, logistics coordination, asset lifecycle administration, and hands-on product support activities to ensure assets remain operational, accurately tracked, and available to support global customer-facing activities.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in supply chain logistics, inventory management, or logistics planning in defense or EO/IR system technology product related field.
  • Previous experience/knowledge of U.S. and international trade compliance regulations and global shipping requirements.
  • Hands-on learner capable of bridging logistics and product operations by learning system functionality to support setup, verification, and shipment readiness testing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively work across all levels of the organization and with cross-functional teams.
  • Team-oriented self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with CRM, SAP, or other ERP data systems is an advantage.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Capability to work in a physical environment requiring lifting and movement of objects weighing 50 lbs or more.
  • Driving required.
