Overview of the Position:


Inventory associate assists the Inventory Manager with the operations in the warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to company standards.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Stores product by designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to. production and shipping requirements; updating location database.

  • Ensure Cycle Counts are conducted weekly, monthly, and yearly.

  • Maintain Inventory Accuracy at 98% or greater.

  • Investigate any lost inventory.

  • Collaborate with all ops departments to ensure business goals are met.

  • Assist with inventory daily put-away and performs spot inspections.

  • Report any accidents or incidents that occur immediately to a supervisor.

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for assigned accounts as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.


 


Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Capable of working well independently and within attendance guidelines.

  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Knowledge of warehouse/distribution areas of shipping, order filling and material control, AVIATION COMPONENT EXPERIENCE STRONGLY DESIRED.

  • Capable of learning how to operate and maintain packaging machinery.

  • Knowledge of good commercial packaging requirements, government specifications, and bar coding preferred. Familiar with the safe use of hand and power tools.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.


 





Education / Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience with general warehouse equipment forklift, pallet jack, wrap (forklift certification preferred). Equivalent required with three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


 


Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
