The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring inventory performances, analyzing inventory data, and supporting inventory accuracy across Bioventus Operations, including Memphis warehouse and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics). The role develops and maintains and analyzes inventory snapshot reporting, period-end inventory reporting and inventory control metrics to ensure accurate inventory records to support SOX compliance requirements and provide reliable inventory reporting for business and financial decision making. The Inventory Analyst supports inventory control compliances, inventory optimizations initiatives, and continuous process improvements that effects inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and business performance. The Inventory Analyst will be working closely with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Quality, and other departments within supply chain.
What you'll be doing
- Develop, maintain and distribute inventory snapshot reports, period-end reporting, and inventory control metrics to support inventory accuracy and SOX compliance.
- Analyze inventory variances, transaction activities, and inventory performance trends, help support root cause investigations on trends.
- Generate and maintain inventory reports, to help support KPI metrics utilizing SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other reporting tools.
- Support and analyze cycle count programs utilizing ABC inventory classification methodologies, review count results, identify trends, and help support root cause for variances.
- Support Period-end, Quarter-end, and year-end inventory reporting activities, including variance analysis and inventory-related financial reporting requirements
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, and IT teams to optimize inventory accuracy and performance.
- Contribute to ongoing system improvements and technology upgrades aimed at enhancing inventory control and operational efficiency.
- Support inventory readiness for internal and external audits.
- Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.

What you'll bring to the table
- High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on inventory management experience required;
- Strong experience managing inventory in SAP is required; experience driving process improvements in dynamic environments is highly preferred.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a medical device manufacturing or other regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
