    Description

    The Inventory Analyst II plays a key role in supporting operational excellence by conducting detailed data analysis related to inventory audits, cycle counts, and store-level clerical activity. This position helps identify trends, opportunities, and process improvements that drive accuracy and reduce loss across the organization. The Inventory Analyst II also manages and coordinates third-party auditors while collaborating closely with fellow analysts on the team to ensure consistent execution, accountability, and strong overall inventory control initiatives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsibilities:

    Inventory Audit Management & Support

    • Manage and coordinate third-party auditors to ensure efficient auditing and time management, including reviewing audit schedules with Operations for final approval and reviewing count results with the audit team prior to posting.
    • Conduct post-audit reviews and analysis to identify trends.
    • Research and resolve weighted average cost discrepancies to ensure inventory data accuracy.
    • Partner with stores, District Leaders, and Regional Managers, on best practices for a more accurate inventory process.
    • Review and provide training on reports used to determine inventory and strengthen overall understanding of the audit process.
    • Conduct daily pre-audit clerical reviews for assigned stores and partner with Store Accounting and/or Store Managers to resolve discrepancies.
    • Support the internal audit process by reviewing and analyzing store and kitchen inventory counts.

    Inventory Analysis & Reporting

    • Track item trends across the organization and identify issues that may require additional support.
    • Develop statistical reporting of store inventory data and provide analytical support to the management team.
    • Create and manage inventory and waste reports for distribution to field leadership.
    • Create ad hoc reporting as necessary.

    Loss Prevention & Risk Management

    • Collect and analyze inventory data to identify potential fraudulent activity and ensure compliance with company asset protection policies.
    • Communicate perceived risks to the Loss Prevention team and leadership, along with recommendations for mitigation.

    Action Planning & Process Improvement

    • Develop and provide action plans to DLs and RLs to address inventory issues, and follow up to ensure plans are implemented.
    • Present reduction strategies to field leadership and track, monitor, and measure the impact of implemented solutions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

    Required:

    • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
    • Inventory/Auditing Experience
    • This position is required to work onsite at our corporate headquarters in Savannah, GA. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
