The main medical center, located at 6900 N. Pecos Road in North Las Vegas, is a state-of-the-art facility offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and mental health services. The Radiology Service features advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. Cardiac/Vascular Interventional Technologist – Responsibilities- Perform cardiac catheterization, angiography, and a full range of interventional radiology procedures including stent placements, embolizations, and vascular access procedures
- Operate and maintain specialized interventional imaging equipment including biplane fluoroscopy, C-arm, and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) systems
- Assist interventional radiologists and cardiologists during complex invasive procedures using sterile surgical technique
- Prepare sterile trays, catheters, contrast media, guidewires, and specialized devices; maintain sterile field throughout procedures
- Monitor patient hemodynamic status during procedures; recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and other critical changes
- Administer contrast media and medications as directed; manage IV access and monitor for adverse reactions
- Perform post-processing of images using PACS and specialized workstations; ensure proper archival and availability for interpretation
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergent interventional procedures
- Practice radiation safety, adhere to ALARA principles, and participate in quality assurance activities
- Maintain and troubleshoot interventional suite equipment; coordinate with biomedical engineering for repairs
Cardiac/Vascular Interventional Technologist – Qualifications- Current ARRT registration in Radiography (R); additional certification in Cardiac Interventional (CI) and/or Vascular Interventional (VI) required
- Current ACLS and BLS/BCLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization lab and/or interventional radiology
- Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring, sterile surgical technique, and interventional equipment
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, vascular anatomy, and interventional procedural protocols
- VA or federal healthcare experience preferred but not required
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Overtime and on-call may be required as assigned.
