An Intervention Specialist/Title I Reading teacher is needed within the Menomonie School District. This is a .5 FTE position that will deliver academic interventions in small group or individual settings to students in the local parochial schools. The position is to begin August 17, 2026 and provides prorated benefits.
The successful candidates will display knowledge and application of the Wisconsin Teaching Standards, Wisconsin Standards for English Language Arts, Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics, and the PLC and RtI processes. Candidates must possess a passion for high-quality work within all student populations, have the ability to teach to both advanced and challenged elementary school students and exhibit positive communication with students and families.
The desired candidate will have a working understanding of multi-level systems of supports and instructional best practices for working with students in a responsive manner. Responsibilities include engaging students in conceptual thinking with applications to the real world, using data to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students'' varying needs and interests, collaborating with colleagues to improve the learning of all students, and maintaining a safe, respectful classroom environment. Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license #1316 (Reading Teacher), or the ability to obtain licensure, is required. Strong elementary reading and math background is desirable.
