    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Current Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate.
    • Teaching experience at the elementary level.
    • Leadership ability.
    • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and building principals.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge of current research and best practices in Literacy, Mathematics, Interventions, and Assessment.
    • Deep knowledge of Michigan PA 146, including dyslexia, structured literacy, screening, intervention, and professional learning requirements.
    • Deep understanding of Cognitive Coaching concepts and practices and their application in supporting educator reflection and growth.
    • Engagement with equity and inclusivity work.
    • Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth.
    • Experience working with students and educators in grades 2-5.
    • Strong technology competence.
    • Familiarity with literacy benchmarking programs, Literacy Essentials, and instructional coaching practices.

    DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordination and development of At-Risk programs.
    • Participate in building Student Assistant Team meetings and determine student intervention(s).
    • Lead, design, and participate in staff development.
    • Lead and coordinate data meetings.
    • Analyze building assessment data via regular progress monitoring.
    • Inservice paraprofessionals, parents, volunteers, and teachers on interventions.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, other district coaches, and the building principal.
    • Coordinate, administer, and collect building assessment data.
    • Train staff to administer assessments.
    • Participate in local and state ISD Training.
    • Must be willing to attend Orton-Gillingham and LETRS training.
    • Maintain data using technology software to keep all progress monitoring data current.
    • Remain current with research-based strategies and interventions.
    • Other duties as assigned by the building principal.
