If you're passionate about using technology to improve human life, this is where your work truly matters What you will accomplish in this role The role of the DT&I Learning and Design Manager is to design, development and evaluation of creative and engaging learning programs that provides a wide variety of development & learning experiences that support initiatives, products, and features of the CT&I team and it's stakeholders. This role works collaboratively with the interprofessional team to identify gaps in understanding and the competency needed for project specific performance and design and develop training programs to fill the gaps. This role operates as a member of a cross functional team under the strategic leadership of the AVP and Director for Interpofessional Education and Training to support activities of the team in meeting the professional development needs that are aligned with the strategic agenda of DT&I. What you will do: Utilizes established design and development educational strategies for both competency-based, operational-based, and orientation based (clinical and non clinical) education initiatives. Meets with key internal customers throughout the organization to understand gaps in skills and competency, complete prioritize requests, and propose solutions to learning needs. Analyze, design and develop training initiatives for various groups, including leadership teams and end-users using a wide variety of cutting edge development software, to include virtual classroom, simulation, web-based methodologies, audio visual videos, and digital adoption platforms. Maintains existing learning assets in response to product enhancements and evaluative feedback. Cultivate relationships among the HCA professional development and community while fostering relationships with both internal and external clients. Assists with creation of presentations for both internal and external audiences Practices and adheres to the Behavioral Norms, Company's "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement" Of HCA Serves on DT&I Committees and participates in all activities related to readiness, planning, and implementation. Performs other duties as assigned. Up to 50% Travel is required including Corporate, Regional and facility site visits What qualifications you will need: Undergraduate degree required Specialty skills in educational design, development, implementation and evaluation Required 5+ years experience in instructional design and development Required 3+ years experience leading instructional design projects preferred Masters degree in healthcare, education/training, or related domain preferred Education content design and development Communication - impactful presentation skills, including clear and concise verbal and written communication. Adaptability - ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks and/or work environment; adjusts effectively to rapidly changing work structures, processes, requirements and cultures. Ability to give and received constructive criticism. Functional Knowledge - general understanding and knowledge of healthcare operations, adult learning principles and instructional design/development techniques including distance learning methodologies. Organization - proactively prioritizes needs and effectively manages timelines and resources. Customer Orientation - establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations. Technology Skills - demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience in using web-based development and authoring products such as learning management systems,; ability to learn new systems and technology quickly. Stress Tolerance - maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time pressure or job ambiguity); handles stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization. Resilience- Because of the high stakes attached to each initiative that is being tracked, and by virtue of the high level of accountability that is expected of each player, the atmosphere in which this role works is one of high pressure and high expectations.
