What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive pulmonary and critical care in a high-acuity hospital setting
- Manage ICU patients on an open model, including ventilations, lines, and intubations
- Participate in consults, patient rounding, and care planning for hospital medicine patients
- Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, anesthesia, and other specialists
- Cover 24/7 shifts, including weekends, with on-call responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in a capacity-packed hospital environment
- Adhere to hospital policies and maintain privileged status
What You Need
- Valid medical license with active privileges
- At least 2 years of experience in pulmonary and/or critical care
- Competence in line placement, intubation, and ventilator management
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Preferred: local or drive-in candidates with clean background
About the Assignment
Join a busy, 162-bed hospital with 30 ICU beds and 24 step-down units, serving a diverse patient population with high admission rates. You will work alongside well-established services including vascular surgery, anesthesia, and interventional cardiology, ensuring robust support during your shifts. The hospital operates with a multidisciplinary approach, providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. No APPs are involved; providers will need temporary privileges.
