A well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with an Internal Medicine background to join its leadership team with the opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle of nearby Santa Fe.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $325,000
  • Up to 15% annual bonus
  • $3,000 quarterly leadership stipend for each Pharmacist and Physician Assistant supervised
  • 5 weeks (200 hours) PTO
  • $3,000 CME allowance plus 5 CME days
  • Additional $1,000 for licensure and professional memberships
  • HRSA Student Loan Repayment eligibility

Position Highlights
  • 50% clinical care / 50% executive leadership
  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Reports directly to the CEO
  • Average of 2.6 patients per clinical hour
  • Athena EMR across all clinics
  • Call Ratio is 1:4, with nurse triage handling initial calls.
  • Position available as the current CMO transitions to part-time after six years
  • Responsibilities include providing comprehensive primary care, overseeing clinical operations across multiple locations
  • supporting ongoing clinic expansion and acquisitions, driving quality and productivity initiatives
  • collaborating with executive leadership, and supervising clinical teams.




Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Experience in primary care with leadership experience or interest in serving as a CMO
  • Eligible for a New Mexico medical license
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, operational, and strategic growth skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary clinical teams.
