Pay: $155 per hour

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
The Dayton VA Medical Center is preparing for the implementation of the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) system. To ensure continuity of care for enrolled veterans during this transition, the facility is seeking a temporary Internal Medicine Physician to provide outpatient primary care services.
This is a stable federal assignment with no billing responsibilities. The physician will work within an interdisciplinary primary care team serving veterans in the Dayton, Ohio area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide outpatient primary care services to enrolled VA patients
Manage chronic disease panels and coordinate follow-up care
Document patient encounters in the existing and transitioning EHR systems
Collaborate with nursing, pharmacy, and ancillary care team members
Support EHRM go-live activities as directed by facility leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Active, unrestricted medical license in Ohio or ability to obtain one
Board eligible or board certified in internal medicine or a related primary care specialty
DEA registration, or ability to obtain prior to start
Ability to obtain VA credentialing and privileging prior to assignment start
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Board certified in internal medicine
Prior VA or federal clinic experience
VA outpatient or ambulatory care background
Experience supporting EHR transitions or go-live periods
