Our company brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market, and service these advanced machines, enabling our customers—the world's leading chipmakers—to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips. This, in turn, leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.
Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, with 18 office locations around the United States, including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon. For a company built on technology leadership, attracting and retaining talented people is business-critical. Our US Communications team contributes to achieving this goal by building the company's reputation and employer brand, communicating its strategy and achievements, and fostering employee engagement, pride, and connectedness.
In this role, you will support and execute San Diego site internal communications strategy to help achieve business objectives, ensure employee engagement, and strong alignment to business strategy and culture. You will be asked to support other site-specific or US-wide communications initiatives as needed. You will report to the Head of U.S. Internal Communications and work closely with the San Diego site Internal Communications Business Partner role.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require us to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
You will be responsible for supporting communications programs that affect employees based in San Diego. Our US operations are home to more than 8,000 of our 44,000 global employees who design, manufacture, install, and service sophisticated lithography systems—high-tech equipment the size of a city bus that operates with nanometer accuracy and is used by all of the world's top chipmakers to make the chips in smartphones, laptops, data centers, as well as cars and airplanes.
This will be a hands-on role requiring you to support and execute communications programs and produce and publish content. This is an ideal position for a communications professional who seeks a broad spectrum of challenges. High affinity for technology is a must.
Working at the cutting edge of tech, you'll always have new challenges and new problems to solve—and working together is the only way to do that. You won't work in a silo. Instead, you'll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you'll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You'll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.
