Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Internal Communication Specialist (FinTech) to support and enhance internal communications across the organization on a 12-month contract. This role requires a strong writer and dependable partner who can work independently and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will help maintain continuity in communications priorities and support employee engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Internal Communication Specialist (FinTech):- Draft, edit, and publish communications across multiple channels to support company priorities and internal communications needs.
- Manage assigned communications independently while coordinating with the broader Communications team.
- Create employee-focused written, visual, and video content.
- Support the internal communications editorial calendar and maintain timely, accurate content.
- Help facilitate employee events such as quarterly town halls and network events.
- Work cross-functionally with Human Resources, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Services, and other teams.
- Use approved AI and emerging communications tools to enhance quality and efficiency.
Required Experience/Skills for the Internal Communication Specialist (FinTech):- 4+ years of internal communications or related corporate communications experience.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating content across multiple formats and channels.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with both limited direction and detailed stakeholder input.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Organized and dependable, with strong follow-through.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Internal Communication Specialist (FinTech):- Experience in financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with internal communications tools and platforms.
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies for communication efficiency.
- Experience facilitating employee engagement events.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
